Random thoughts

Yours truly reads every line of newspapers including matrimonial ;-) In TOI, I read one liner "One of the keys to happiness is bad memory :-)". I quite liked the thought.

Another thought from TOI: In TOI, I read one gr8 personality mentioned about the need for entrepreneurs for generating employment. And i also feel the same. Hopefully, I will also do something like that....:-)

Something from social life: Recently, High court gave verdict in jesicca lal case. My fingers were crossed on the final day. Pleasantly justice was done. One senior police officer was also sentenced to life imprisonment in different case for killing some body in jail. Indian law though may take time but has been doing great job. :-)

I am big fan of vice chancellor of lucknow university. He single handily is challenging college Mafia's. Though there was no support from state administration. Obviously state government has booked some charges against him. But believe me, challenging college student leaders with criminal records is brave task especially considering that it is UP. Real Brave heart!!!

Music: What I am listening nowadays is pink floyd " where were u", "losing my religion" and Tracy chapman's "fast car", "the promise", "Give me one reason"....obviously i m referring these songs to u...

btw on my personal front, let me be very honest I am uncertain and a bit nervous about future.....Have to use nervous energy ;-)

Tough times don't last but everyone can !!!

"Tough times don't last but tough people do". To HELL with tough people!!! God made everyone equal. He gave everyone unique capabilities. Its only the man who created Heros and Non Hero's. So, everyone can be a hero. If one looks into his or her story, there is a hero or heroine in it, Believe me. God made human spirit strong enough to handle any blow.
I am strong supporter that circumstances create leaders. Thats why you see a lot courage stories during tough times. Actually testing times create heros.
So, tough times are our opportunity to grab heroic moment.

Just to quote from Braveheart:

When one boy says to William wallace that he is not william wallace. William wallace is 7 feet tall.

William wallace says "I have heard, he kills men by hundreds. he consumes men by eyeballs and balls of lightning from his ass. I am William wallace and I see whole of my country men here in definace of terrany. U have come here to fight as free men and free men u are"

What i got frm his dialogue was that he was as normal as anyone else.

Just to share some tough moments of some people

Academics: I belong to two of the most tough colleges in world. And I have personally seen people struggling in their academics (and it is traumatic to say the least) during college life and later doing well in their career.

Personal Tragedy: One of the documentary in which SRK says how he avoids going into depression of losing his parents, "The only way to avoid depression for me is to wake up in the morning and be someone else (acting career)"

Luv: If one gives due importance to friends, parents and siblings and does not fall completely with so called luv with the only one person, then it is easy to come out of so called "Break Off"

Living in Hell: There was a person who survived Nazi camp, just imagining that one day he would come out and share his story with all people.

War: Indian Army did in Kargil, what was considered suicidal.

We have also seen people surviving bankrupcies. Tough situations come but human spirit is strong enuf to handle all that.....

And let me be honest, we will not always catch this moment of truth and may fail some time. But this is part of life.........

"Ae saala abhi abhi hua yakeen, ki aag hai mujh mein kahin !!!!!!!!!!" :-)

Aisa hota hai to aisa hota kuin hai ??????

There are some questions that keep coming to my mind. When everyone knows that this is wrong then why people commit the mistake. I have seen a lot of people making the wrong choice. When everyone from timbaktoo can see the choice is wrong, then why people still do it. Is their something called DESTINY?? Everyone from Jenny (Forest Gump) to Jilly, leads some wild goose chase life and then their near and dear one have to go through the pressure. Is it fair to just say that there was a predetermined story and it was DESTINY. I know most people are good and in their senses, they would make the right choice. I think it would be good if people can take a deep breath, put their hand on their heart and ask some close friends what they are doing is correct or not. And listen to their advice. Choose right people as ur friend and keep your heart open. And keep the faith. I know life doesn't give so much time but we have to buy our own time. The DESTINY will be much better this way. And if their is something called destiny, then plz God help. Aisa hota hai to aisa hota kuin hai ??????

Relationships: Growing Old with luved ones....

Recently, I was coming back from Paris to Brest in TGV. I didn't have confirmed seat. So, I roamed around in the train and then sat in the only seat available. I asked for permission, to the girl sitting next and sat there. The girl looked Indian. So, I asked are you Indian? She said no. She was a french. Then she asked me whether I am Indian or not. I said "yes". She told me that her parents were Indian but she had a french citizenship. She had been to Chennai and Pondicherry. Then we dwelled into this topic about relationships. She said why in India, it is responsibility of children to stay with their parents in old age. I told her because when we were child, they took care of us and gave more than what they had. She said they choose to have you. So, it was their duty. Honestly, I had no answers. But I was sure, she had a quite different mindset than me.
My Mom gets sick whenever we take any four wheeler(petrol/diesel allergy). Whenever we went to Rewari/Narnaul my native place, we waited for hours for train. We could easily have taken bus and reached in 2 hours. But for Mom's sake, dad used to wait for hours for train. As a child, I didnt appreciate this. But now I can appreciate this. So, Patience and small adjustments are very important for a good relationships. One has to give time to other person in a relationship. Me and my brother used to fight a lot in childhood. But over the years, I think we developed appreciation and respect for each other.
Then, I had a friend when I was in class VIII. We used to fight a lot. But through these fights, he realised what I liked and vice versa. And over the years, we became good friends. I think it is important for a relationship to go stages of group bonding like norming , storming etc...I think in a relationship, it is important to say what you feel. Because, in a long term relationship can succeed only if people truely communicate their feelings. Suppose, one thinks that somebody will change after sometime, I think the person is hoping too much. People dont change much. Going into a relationship thinking that other person will change is tough one.
Over the years, I also realised that the more I trust others, the more they trust me. Giving space and attached detachment is very important. I learnt in one of my classes, that when we care and worry too much about near ones and dear ones. Actually, we are weak and we are making them also weak. They can and will manage themselves. It is important to be there but necessary to give space.
The feeling that life is long and this world is a small place, helps a lot in developing good friendship. It is also important not to be label relationships with names. There is no need to label friends as best friend , GF , BF very soon....Nobody is running...........believe a bit in serendipity and keep the faith.......
One more point, I try to keep in my mind. This is whose movie and what is my more role. If my role is only supporting role, then better play supporting role. Dont try to be hero in all movies.
Graciousness is very important. Not all relations are about "whats in it for me". Helping others without expecting anything in return is my definition of growing old. Like in movie "Scent of a woman" sometimes Charlie will stand for Colonel and sometime Colonel will stand for Charlie. There are times to say "You are not bad, you are just in pain"
Just to go quote another movie "A walk to remember"
"Mamma Jemmy has a FAITH in me. You know, She makes me wanna be different and better."
When its about FAITH, then +s, -s and logic dont count..........

Gandhi And Munnabhai...

Gandhiji always preached about practicing truth. In “Lage Raho Munnabhai” also, Gandhiji suggests Munnabhai to accept to Jhanvi that he lied. This is a very important learning. Acceptance of truth or reality solves a lot of problems. Denial of truth and reality leads to a lot of negative energy. Acceptance of truth gives confidence to face it. So, accept the truth and take responsibility.

Gandhiji also believed in winning people with the goodness and positive actions. Most of the human beings are good by heart. Different people may take different time but later or sooner people realize what is correct. Important point here is to allow people to take their time to understand what is correct without getting frustrated. People should join hands in giving strength to each other in their individual tryst against reality. Goodness multiplies with any individual good deed. So, keep playing your part!!!

Is it perfect to have imperfections?

Hmm....let me be very honest this is a very tough topic to deal with.
Just to share one incident, once I said to one of my good friends that I don't want to get good marks. I dont have desire and hunger ;-). Friend's reply "since u can't get, so this is just a tactic to avoid the reality." Thanks to the friend for being so blunt. I concentrated on studies next term and performed good.
So, we have a lot of imperfections. But is it necessary to be perfect always. Isn't this puts a lot of pressure and may reduce the F part of life, I mean fun part ;-)
But the core of the dilemma still remains accepting the imperfections is termed as accepting defeat. I somewhere believe suppose that you have some imperfections, it is important to realize that it is perfectly human to have imperfections. Thats what make each of us different and unique. I like the word "different" also. Each person can have different meaning of imperfections. So, it depends whether one wants to buy universal definition of "perfections" or not. So, instead of perfect and imperfect, different is better.
Just to share one story, which has a lasting impression on me, since i heard it.
There was a disc which was rolling down slowly. It was slow because it wasnt perfectly circular. One portion was broken. It was enjoying cool breeze, watching flowers and watching butterflies. Interacting with new people and doing hi hello during rolling. In the midway, the circular disk met God. As usual God asked the disk to make one wish. The disk said make me perfect circular. God obliged. And then it start rolling so fast that it missed all the F part, I mean fun part.
The morale of the story is that it is not necessary to be perfect to enjoy life.
Sometimes, accepting imperfections helps and instead can make life more joyful.
I really get influenced by my friends. One of my friend always gives reference of movies. The habit is catching me. Let me give you reference of one movie "Good will hunting"
One counsellor tells a story about his life to his client.
"My wife used to fart when she was nervous. Sometimes, she used to fart in sleep. Once that was so loud that she woke up and asked is that you. She died 2 years back. These are things that I remember. Wonderful stuff U know. little things like that. I miss this type of intimacy. There are some idiosynchrancies that we 2 only know about each other. People call this as imperfections but they are not. This is good stuff and intimacy is all about this. We are not perfect, boy."
If you watch "Forest Gump" or "Terminal", Tom Hanks makes his own perfect world despite so many imperfections.
So, imperfections make us different and unique. Obviously, we dont want to be another perfect brick in the wall.
bye for now.....till then i live with my imperfections and u 2.....

To all you lovely girls...

My interaction with girls started when i was in KG. I used to fight with my one of first friends because he disturbed one girl in my class. I have vague memories like me jumping from desk and hitting my friend. Then I remember, I went to b'day party and just kept staring one girl (More imp. I wasnt even in Vth class then). That you can't say staring yeah but can say glancing when others are not watching. Then one girl became my first crush. All the boys were in so called "love" with her, including me. I used to match my school going timing with hers. If a friend is going with her, then I will call my friend to stop. And I would join them instead I should say join her. That was the girl with whom i chatted for long 2-3 sessions. Then one day she invited all girls to introduce to me. She was praising me. I was so stoned that later I thought I might have let her down. Oh, then came, the Goddess, whom I liked so much. She was the perfect girl. You can take all dictionary adjectives and put to her. And they were so appropriate for her. She left for her undergraduation and me too. Then next year, she came back and I thought dost abhi nahi to kabhi nahi. So, I proposed her. And she said that it was too early to commit for me. And, she was exactly right. I could have found difficult to settle so early because of some other personal commitments. Then I went to college, there I liked a girl but nothing serious. I used to catch her in all Dandiyas and dance with her all night. Let me be very honest, I suck big time in dancing. But, right from start I knew that she was committed. So, never got senti on her. I somehow lost contact with her. So, in final year, I invited her for a coffee through a mail. And she came and had a good chit chat. Then I met a girl during my mock cats. It was crush from my side at first sight ;-). We went to McDonalds after 2-3 Mock tests and then also roamed around temples etc. I waited for her in VT station, just guessing that this might be the train that she catches. I hope you appreciate how difficult it is to do the same. Waiting for someone in VT station and just hoping she would come. Then nothing major, some light moments, when some specific girl used to say that "SK come to PA system". I used to say "paro mai aa raha huin, paro". I enjoy all my parties. I did a lot of things like as i said time synchronisation, waiting at station, receiving at station, titanic song and dances etc etc. I would like to thank everyone of you for giving some memorable moments to treasure and u are very very special.........stay connected :-)

So,

When you want it,

When you need it,

You will always have the BEST OF ME......

I cant help it..............
