I believe in the line "Bad/short memory is key to happiness" (btw this is not my justification for forgetting my purse, mobile etc every next day) . Somehow, bad experiences stick more in mind than good experiences.
From personal experiences, We make friends and sometimes we feel bad about their behavior or we get hurt. My tendency is to go into my own shell and stop talking to the person. Sometimes, I feel I am just dragging the relationship. I feel like victim. I gave so much into the relationship and now this is what I am getting in return. Oh my God, world looks as if I am "free falling" .....:-)
But the only solution is to stop reminding myself that I gave so much into my relationship. Hindi mein tabhi to bolte hain "neki kar dariya mein daal"...Don't stick to history....
A lot of times, if we forget one or two incidents, I guess we can build good relationships with a lot of people. Sometimes, we just stick to those incidents and ruin the relationships. I think we can avoid that.
And in professional career also, if we decide career decisions too much based on past, then I don't think it is a good idea. In today's dynamic times, it is important to continuously learn and unlearn skills. So, I think be light and live in present .....in every sense .....history is history....:-)

I agree to your views but to quite a large extent you are more a victim ho EXPECTATIONS...and this is not wrong. After all when does one start to have expectations? Only when one is close to someone. This means that the person (who is the reason for ur misery ;) who has hurt you had in the first place allowed u to come close to him/her and then by a certain act (or repetition of such acts) has not lived up to the expectation u had from him/her.
U don't have control over certain things and u are powerless when it comes to acknowledging mutual appreciation, love, understanding or in a more slang way 'when ur frequency matches' with the person in question, becos it comes naturally (refer to the word mutual)
At the same time its easier to say that 'let no one but urself have control over ur emotions' but probably one of the most difficult of all tasks. Cos once u master the art of attached detachment u have achieved Nirvana. But then again, who the hell wants Nirvana...its time we make hell lot of money and then give not a penny worth of thought to those who hurt us by buying a vintage scotch and enjoy it with those who are still around and haven't hurt u or if need be, alone in ur balcony ;-)
good point.. i think we should look at a person in totality.. nobody is completely good or completely bad.. then why show complete hatred or complete love towards one? Concentrate on one's good qualities and be aware of bad points as well.. Look at the complete picture.. Everybody should get a second chance..
hi!!! buddy ,, I am u r friend . and pathetically lithargic to sign up ....
rest it seems that ur in that phase of life where irrationlaity is at its peak ..and u need to be decisive on certain things ..... so lets be a rational guy and take a decision ,try to be ruthless business man ... to self .
Why I am saying this .... at this point of time if u dont decide ,,, its wud take hell lot of u ....( either professionally ...mentally ,, physically ) .....
try to be ruthless business man ------Yeah i agree on this it is better to be less emotional and more driven by process and discipline...trying to work on this :-)
